Entry Methods - Digital & Paper

Please choose an entry form below that best suits you. We prefer you use our digital submission method but that may not work in all cases, so we have provided other methods as well. Please note, you only need to choose one method of entry. Once you have completed this entry method you do not need to fill out another entry form. For instance, if you choose our in-house digital submission method, you do not need to enter via withoutabox nor do you need to print a paper form and send it.

  1. Digital Entry Services

    Hey, it saves trees, and makes our and your life easier. We prefer this method, but we understand it may not work for everyone.

    1. Lakedance Digital Submission
      New to our 2008 Call For Entries, we are introducing our 100% digital entry form, after many requests were put forth last year for this service. This allows us and you to keep the entry process as easy as possible while saving a few trees in the process (which is always good, right?) The process is easy:

      1. Click on the digital entry form. You can enter up to 3 films per day.
      2. Once you have filled in all of the applicable and required fields, click submit. You will receive a confirmation email with all of your details plus your Unique SID (Session ID) at the very end of it. Include this SID number on your disc, the package you send to us, even your fee payment, as it helps us to track your entry through the system.
      3. Include the correct entry fee, as indicated on our deadlines and entry fees page, along with your DVD, in a secure case in a bubble wrap or similar mailer, and send (Mail, UPS, Fedex or DHL) to:

      4. As soon as we receive your entry, we will notify you using the email you provided!


    2. Third-Party Digital Submission Service
      Withoutabox is perfect for creating your online profile for your film once, and then submitting it to Lakedance and other festivals. It costs nothing to set up an account with them, although it is more complicated than our in-house submission methods and offers more flexibility in the long run. Additionally, if you already have your project account set up with them, this may be the easiest method for you to choose. Note to Idaho Filmmakers: WAB currently only allows you to submit under the Idaho Filmmaker category using the review feature which you may or may not want, as it does require a fee. If you do not desire the review feature, please request a fee waiver while we address this issue with WAB. Use the code: ZLCHSCS for fee waiver.


  2. Paper & Mail

    We understand some entrants may not wish to use our digital submission services. If you don't want to go through the hassle of setting up an account at withoutabox, or can't get our form to work, use our paper entry forms!

    1. Fill in & Print PDF (236K)
      Simply click above, fill in the information digitally, and click "print form" in the upper right corner of page 1. Then, print and sign the bottom of page 2. Optionally, you can just print out the form and fill it by hand, or typewriter. Please note, you will not be able to save the entry form to your computer with your data filled in, so print two copies if you wish to retain one. Make sure to include the proper entry fee! You will need a current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader to access this form.


    2. Standard Text (.txt) Entry Form
      This entry form can be opened by any modern computer in the world. Simply download, fill in and print or print and fill by hand. We understand some entrants may have difficulty with our other methods, so we provide this as well, however we kindly ask that you try to utilize our digital submission process first, and this last because this method is more work for you and especially for our staff. Thank you!
